Titanic (My Journey)

It was a cold night in Southampton, England. The Titanic set sail at 12 pm as I walked on the ship I thought to myself i'm’m standing on the biggest ship in the world. It was a miracle and this was the best day of my life. I walked into my new bedroom with all my junk and I knew that this was a sweet ship I was 1st class with all the rich people.

I woke up with a shivering cold flu. I woke my mate up. We went to see what was going on we were running and we saw a really massive crack on the right hand side of the ship. Everyone was yelling and going crazy I was searching for a lifeboat but they were all gone we both saw a kid and he was alone. He was looking for his mum.

Then he spotted her in the life boat. After that I jumped out of the mighty ship with the little kid and swam to the boat and gave the kid back. Taimana followed me and the mum said come with us so we did. We didn’t get to New York until 14 days and that was the end of Owen and Taimana’s journey.

Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard was born on july 15th 1990 and was born in America, Oakland, California. Damian Lillard is a 6 ft 3 point guard in the NBA. He is a top point guard he was drafted to the Portland Trailblazers in the NBA draft and was the 6th pick in the 1st round.

Rookie Season

In his Rookie season Damian Lillard played in the NBA summer league and was averaging 26.5 points and 4.0 rebounds 5.3 assists . His debut was against the Los Angles Lakers and was one of the highest marked people in his NBA debut with Isiah Thomas and Oscar Robertson making over 20 points and 10 assists. In 2013 he was nominated to be in the NBA All-Star Weekend the 2 competition's where the Rising stars challenge and the skills challenge. 

The start of 2014 season went off with a bang when Damian Lillard  set a career high of 41 POINTS WOW! and set a record for most points in a quarter but sadly had a loss against Sacramento Kings. The NBA All-Star Weekend kicked off yet again for the young all-star but this time not only did compete in 2 but the coaches voted him to compete in all 5 competitions which set another record the challenges were the Rising stars challenge, Skills challenge, Three point contest,Dunk contest and the All star game. Lillard's NBA playoff debut was played against Houston Rockets and he made 31 points 9 rebounds 5 assists and with only 1 turnover. In the 6th game against Houston he made the most amazing shot with 0.9 seconds left on the clock and won the game and that made them advance to the second round of the playoffs but sadly in the second round San Antonio Spurs ended there season

LJT How to make a boat

This week me, Louis  and Jordan learnt how to make a little boat and we are gonna teach you how to make your own boat. First you need some card next you need a rubber band then you can draw some fancy designs on it. Thats all you really need and it should kinda work like this. If you were wondering how the boat floats here is a little tip we create a prepalor to push the boat forward. Then you create a bow to displace the water when it moves.

Comparing foods

In extension we learnt about a place called Malawi. Malawi is in South Africa, in Malawi its very hard to get food because they can't just buy it they have to grow it. So I made my own menu and compared it to what they eat in Malawi. Malawi usually gets maize everyday but NZ gets a variety of food to pick from. This shows us that were very lucky also people in Malawi are suffering from not eating enough food. Hope you Enjoy and please leave a comment

Now that I have learnt about them I realise i'm quite lucky to have what I have in Malawi they don't have a variety of food they don't have clean water or things to play with. Broken arm Rugby League game

We kicked of the game feeling good and confident about winning. I was captain and my position was Halfback which is number 7 Halfback gets the ball and passes to his forwards and backs. They had the ball most of the game then we put a hard tackle on them and then they finally knocked it on.

Then we went to the scrum I put the ball into the scrum I passed it out we got tackled I shouted “MAURICE IT’S COMING TO YOU” I passed it then he ran and bursted through the first tackle then broke through another and then another and then finally got tackled. Stevenson said to Maurice “are you alright” Maurice couldn’t get up Stevenson helped him up and and he walked off the field not realising he had just broke his arm. We played on Louis got the ball and passed it to Preston, Preston stepped and fended and scored the try in the corner.

We went to half time winning 22-12  our team huddle was about defence letting Waitemata  in for two tries was bad. Waitemata kicked off the second half the ball was heading towards me I dropped the ball it was devastating we went to the scrum it was their feed, they put the ball in scrum and passed it out to their wing and he sprinted past ours and went in for the easy try. Our team went back for the halfway  kick their Halfback caught it and passed to his forward and then we put a big hit on him he knocked it on it was our scrum feed.

I put it in the scrum and passed it to Louis stepped past then got tackled but offloaded it to Naisa, Naisa went in for  the try. Louis went to convert the kick and MISSED!!!! the score was 26-18 there was still 10 minutes left Waitemata kicked to me again I batted it back with my hand to Promise he ran it hard bumped off one of them and went down I called “JORDAN JORDAN COME AND HAVE A RUN” he came and ran up and got tackled he got up and started limping and walked off the field. 5 minutes left we had the ball I passed to Ray he then offloaded a pass to Naisa Naisa sprinted and dived for the line it was a try.

There was 2 minutes left we knew the game was over. Louis caught the ball and passed it to Preston and ran broke through one tackle and sprinted away and made 50 metres and just got tackled our Hooker picked up the ball and dropped it. They put the ball in the scrum 1 minute left Waitemata passed out to their wing he made nearly a full field I chased and caught him and threw him out but he threw the ball back in my teammate caught it and then got tackled out we went to the scrum it was last play.

It was there last play and we knew we won. they put it in and tried to be tricky and passed to their wing our wing caught him and I helped him drag him out CHEERHOOO!!! we yelled we had won. We did our cheers that was it this was our 4th win of the year.

Immersion Assembly

Today was or first day back at School for the start of term 2 and we have just finished our first assembly . We had 5 teams and they all showed us their topic and it was either in a movie or they told us about it . Team 4 are learning about how things float and they were quizzing the school on how what would float out of a stick a marble and a paperclip  .

Team 5 are learning about sound and music . They were using things like a vacum pipe, painting roller, tin cans, a homemade didgeridoo using  a pvc pipe and two plastic plates strapped together with little bells inside . After they demonstrated the instruments they showed us a music video that they had made which was cool and I would give best costume award to Mr Somerville.
