NBA2K14

NBA2K14 is a video game that I play on my Xbox 360. It is one of my top five favourite video games, there is about ten modes that you can play but the top two is just playing for fun mode or Career mode. My favourite mode is Career mode because I can make my own Career in the NBA which I did, first you have make your players name my name is Gerald Bridges. And then what you want to make them look like then you pick where you are from. Second thing is to play in the young all stars game where all the best college players go to get started in the NBA then you either get put in the Rising Star team or Elites team I got put in the Rising Stars.

Then you play the game when you try to make a impression on the coaches of the NBA teams. And if you play well you get a interview by three different Gm's. I got interviewed by a Chicago Bulls Gm and two different teams. Then its time for the NBA draft pick and then they pick the top thirty people from that game I got picked buy the Chicago Bulls then thats your team for the NBA.

Now you have made the NBA you start your career as a NBA player. When you play you have to try and make achievements and and history. In the game you can talk to the Gm and say how good the coach is doing or how bad, or you could ask for a trade I asked for a trade so I got traded to Miami Heat and if you play good you get in the starting lineup like I did.

Piha Trip

Piha Waterfall

 

On Anniversary Weekend, I went to the Piha Waterfall.  Nanny, Mum and I went early in the morning to meet all my Uncle’s Tag Team called the Turtles for our annual walk up to the Waterfall. My Mum and Nanny stayed down by the cars, while the rest of us headed up to the waterfall.  It’s about a 20 minute walk up to one of the waterfalls. 

There is a one big place to swim where you can swim under the fall.  The water is freezing, and you have to step on rocks to get in, so I had to wear my shoes in.  Then we went even higher, to the top of the waterfall.  There is stone slide you can go down, and it’s amazing to swim in.  My Uncles team are funny guys, so it’s a lot of fun!

Then we had to walk all the way back down the hill, it was way faster than going up.  Once we made it to the bottom, we all headed off to the field where we ate lunch and then played the Adults vs Kids in a Cricket game.  The kids have never beaten the adults, and we made 127 runs, but the adults cheated and somehow they beat us.  I am pretty sure they can’t count.

After the game we took off to the beach to have a swim.  It’s another big walk to the beach, but the water was awesome.  We didn’t swim long cause then it started to pour down with rain, it was weird.  So we walked back and got changed, then back off home, with a pit stop at Ollie’s in Royal Oak for ice cream.  That was a awesome long day, just have to wait another year until the next time.

Taimana Holiday Highlight

In my holidays I headed to Parakai Springs for a swim. I went with my two buddies and my Mum and Nana.  My two friends never been there before, so it was a new experience for them. It was quite a long drive but i had fun getting to catch up with my friends.

 

We got out of the car and we all had sore legs. There was hardly anyone at the pools so we ran straight to the slides, and ran up and down about fifty times. To have a rest I went to the hot pool which is nice and relaxing. Then we hopped out off the pool and had something to eat.

 

After eating our lunch we went to the game machines,    trying to win toys and rugby league balls. Sadly we won nothing, just spent heaps of money. As the day went on it got hotter and hotter, and the day came to a end.

 

We jumped out and got changed, ready for an ice cream for the ride home.  What a day, it was awesome!  Hopefully we get to go again soon.
